Andini Desita Ekaputri


img_20161226_120402Andini Desita Ekaputri (Sita) is a PhD student from Indonesia who joined the Carlson Lab in January 2017. She received her bachelors degree in Statistics from Bogor Agricultural University and her masters degree in Economics from the University of Indonesia. Sita is interested in the interrelationship between people, forest/environment, and development activities. Prior to joining the lab, Sita was a researcher at LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences). She examined human ecology issues under the Research Center for Population. She also taught Social Statistics to undergraduates at the University of Indonesia. Prior to LIPI, Sita was part of a global comparative study conducted by CIFOR (Center for International Forestry Research) where she examined the socio-economic impact of REDD+ initiatives. She has also worked with ICRAF (World Agroforestry Center) on Payments for Environmental Services. In her spare time, Sita enjoys spending happy hour with friends, the sounds of a great music playlist, and practicing yoga.
